Yesterday I have succombed to the pressures of modern Christmas. I went shopping on Oxford Street on what must be one of the busiest days of business. Rarely have I seen so many people about, and under so much stress at that.

Finally I managed to buy every little bit of stuff that I was planning to give away this christmas and was on my way to the tube station, when the funniest event of the day occured. In the middle of the very large pavement of Oxford Street, just outside on of those large department stores there were four Street Cleaners (or to be politically correct, Public Walkway Sanitation Engineers) in some sort of brawl. Two of them were swinging their brooms at each other, while the other two tried in vain to keep them apart. Words of a not very festive nature flew through the air and I am almost certain one or two odd blows were landed with the above mentioned brooms.

After a while the fight was broken up by some street wardens, and many curious onlookers, including me could go back to business. In my case fight my way through the crowds to Oxford Circus Tube Station.

My dear friend Bruno also has a blog. I really must have been sleeping underneath some rock somewhere inaccessible.

The great thing about Bruno’s website, is his photography. Some seriously stunning art on display.

For countless months it has escaped me that my friend Mr P has a blog.

In the spirit of New Years Resolutions, I am training for mine.

As everybody on this planet Earth knows, it wil be prohibited to smoke in bars and pubs in the whole UK from July 1st or thereabouts. As such, I have officially quite smoking twice in the last week. The first time last Saturday, and the latest time on Tuesday, after the WBC christmas party.

So, once again, this is the third day straight without a cigarette.
