Rome International Airport must be one of the most complicated airports in Europe. I must have turned right and left and right again so many times, I simply lost all sense of direction. It is also the only airport I have seen so far, where my passport was checked between terminals.

Anyway, I have finally found my gate and took after a short while a seat in my plane to Torino.

After having landed in Torino, I was waiting for my suitcase at the Caroussel assigned to our flight.

And I waited, and waited, and waited, and waited…

In the end I had to report my suitcase missing and make my way to Yeppies Registration in the city centre before they closed.

I have traveled everywhere with that suitcase and never had any problems. Once I had to wait for about an hour in Granada, but then everybody had to wait.

Leaving the airport without my suitcase felt very weird, but I was confident that it would be delivered to me shortly.

Finally I arrived at the Atrium and registered. Andrea, whom I saw directly at check-in, looked dead tired. I had last seen him this exhausted when They moved from JADE House to the New JADE House in Brussels.

While I was waiting for my flight to Rome, I noticed the distinct lack of other people. Apart from a rather cute Italian girl, there was only ground crew. I got a little nervous and asked if I was at the right gate.

I was.

It turned out, that the flight had been seriously underbooked and that the girl and me would be sharing the plane with three cabin crew and the pilots.

Yes, you are right. Two passengers for an enire plane. I am sorry to say, that the environmental impact per passenger was huge, but then again, it felt like traveling on a private jet.

I landed in Rome feeling like the the VIP I am.

The looks on the faces of the border controll people and of the ground crew shutteling us to the terminal, when they saw that only two persons would be coming through, was priceless.

Anyway, after a quick bye to my fellow passenger, I went searching for the gate of my connecting flight to Torino.

I absolutely love London City Airport. Ok, there is not that much to do there and in general it may be pretty boring as a consequence, but, and this is a big but, you don’t have to spend any time there.

That is if your plane is not delayed.

The airport handles everything incredibly fast. As it has only one landingstrip, and a short on at that, it only handles smalll aircraft. As a result the check in Queues are incredible short.

Ten minutes after I had checked in my bag I was sitting at the boarding gate waiting for my flight to Rome. So much for efficiency.

Just a few hours seperate me now from my flight to Italy.

All my bags are packed, Im ready to go.
