Today is the first day of Gordon Brown as Prime Minister of the UK.

Good luck, and hopefully he will be able to get people to look beyond the whole mess Tony Blair left him in.

I think there might be a ghost hiding under my desk. What should I do?

It has now been 8 months since I installed Akismet to get rid of the spam apidemic on my blog, and in those 8 months more that 10.000 (10,584 to be precise) occasions of comment spam have been prevented. I knew that spam was rife, but, man, 10,000??? Get a life.

I found some old cheques dating back to 2002 while cleaning out old paperwork. I doubt that the bank still takes them so I have asked to get them reissued. It’s just over a hundred pounds, so if I get them, the first round is on me.
