	<description><![CDATA[I downloaded <a href="http://www.ubuntu.com/">Ubuntu 8.10</a> a couple of days ago and today finally found the time to burn it to CD to try out the Live CD.

<a href="http://hughs-space.com/">Hugh</a> suggested that <a href="http://blogs.computerworld.com/new_linux_broadcom_wi_fi_drivers_arrive">Broadcom Wifi might now work</a> in Ubuntu without requiring all the fiddling stuff that has so far kept me from using Linux.
